The DoubleTree by Hilton LAX-El Segundo hotel is near Manhattan Beach which is a convenient base for experiencing the sights and sounds of the South Bay/Beach Cities. From the front door, 1 mile west on Grand Ave is the El Segundo Beach, a relaxing and remote place to unwind. Let the ocean breezes take you away.
If your looking for the nostalgic and local spot, you can camp, roast marshmallows or simply rule the volleyball court at Dockweiler Beach only 4.2 miles from the hotel.
The hotel is only 0.5 miles north of Manhattan Beach, a well-known spot for beach volleyball and surfing. Ask the front desk for the local swell report! Find great shopping and dining in downtown Manhattan Beach, another popular tourist destination.
Just a few more minutes south is Hermosa Beach. Wide, white sand beaches make Hermosa Beach popular for volleyball and water sports. Paddle boarding or kayaking is local favorite. Walk, jog, cycle or rollerblade on the Strand, the famous path that runs from Hermosa Beach to the north through Manhattan Beach and up to Santa Monica. (Also known as Marvin Braude Bike Trail)
Discover Redondo Beach, just a couple of more miles to the south of Hermosa Beach. Known for the Redondo Beach Pier and its shopping, dining and nightlife, the area offers over 50 restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. Redondo Beach Pier is about 6.5 miles to the south of our hotel.
