Meet our Chef

Chef Tylor Urias

The Spencer’s for Steaks and Chops culinary team is led by Chef de Cuisine Tylor Urias. Chef Tylor has trained and worked with many award-winning chefs including James Beard winner Andrew Sutton, Michelin-starred chef Luigi Fineo and Food and Wine Magazine’s 2015 award winner Carlos Salgado. Chef Tylor brings vast experience, working in some of the most exclusive restaurants, hotels and resorts around the world.

Originally from Southern California, Chef Tylor began cooking at a very young age, He started working in a professional kitchen at the age of 13 and began training in a culinary institute at 15. His career took off from there.

Chef Tylor has lived and traveled throughout Mexico and receives much of his inspiration from Latin cooking and influences. Chef Tylor’s goal is to create an eclectic and unique dining experience that combines elements of Mexican cuisine with Spanish and Italian influenced dishes executed with a new American flare.
