What to do around here

Discover over 40,000 years of history at Lima’s Museo Larco. The permanent collection of over 45,000 exhibits includes lithic stone works dating from 8,000 BC, well before the age of ceramics, to the ornately beautiful golden jewelry of the Incas. One of the world’s largest collections of pre-Columbian art, including many pieces from the Inca, Moche, Nazca and Chimù, are found in Museo Larco.

Enjoy Lima life past and present in the elegant district of Miraflores. The spectacular Huaca Pucllana pyramid of the Lima civilization—dating from before Inca times—is a living lesson in pre-Columbian history. The beaches of Costa Verde are popular with surfers and paragliders who launch from the ridges above.
