Located one mile from Cambridge station, the DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge Hotel is an excellent base for exploring the attractions and landmarks of this historic city. Book a punt and sail along the River Cam, or visit the world-famous colleges of Cambridge University. King’s College Chapel is a large, ornate building nearly 500 years old and features masterpieces of stained-glass art. Shop in the city centre, which is packed with boutiques and designer stores, as well as outdoor markets selling arts and crafts and organic local produce.
The Fitzwilliam Museum houses a huge range of art and antiques. Experience Cambridge’s lively music and theatre scene, most notably the Footlights Review, which started the comedic careers of Peter Cook, Stephen Fry and the Monty Python boys. A golf course is located eight miles from the hotel, and a tennis court, playground, and array of sight-seeing tours can be found within two miles of the hotel grounds.
