The Arctic Club Seattle – a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in the heart of the downtown Seattle financial district is an iconic Seattle hotel, rich in history and beautifully restored to provide the best in contemporary DoubleTree hospitality.
The Arctic Club was a social institution for the men who returned from the Yukon gold rush. Though most who headed north found no gold, a small percentage did return to Seattle with more than just memories. The Arctic Club provided an exclusive social community for those Seattleites who had returned from the Alaska Gold Rush with money in their pockets and a repertoire of stories to tell.
From the distinctive third-floor walrus heads overlooking the street, to the fine Alaskan marble foyer, to the magnificent Northern Lights Dome Room with its enchanting Rococo gilt and leaded stained glass ceiling, this Seattle hotel offers a memorable experience with reminders of the post-Klondike gold rush days of the early 1900s.
This thoughtfully decorated hotel combines tradition with contemporary services and amenities. Keep up your gym routine in the fully equipped fitness center. Stay up to date with work and emails in the business center, and use the remote printing facilities. Relax over your favorite cocktails or a light bite in the inviting lobby lounge, Polar Bar. Start your day off right with a Doubletree Breakfast and our house brew – Starbucks®, of course. Upgrade to a suite for extra space, enhanced city views and whirlpool spa or patio.
Our hotel is now in the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame! Our staff takes great pride in offering an exceptional guest experience and being recognized with the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for outstanding traveler reviews five years in a row.
The Arctic Club was an exclusive social community for the men who returned from the Yukon gold rush after ‘striking it rich.’ Built in 1916, the historic building features fine Alaskan marble covering the main corridors, terra cotta walrus head statues trimming the exterior, and a stunning stained glass dome of the Northern Lights Dome Room.
